Interiors (2006)

As a prelude to the upcoming GIRL ALONE I put together a short 1 minute atmosphere piece. A kind of visual poem. It's about the idea of loss and being alone. This is the second part of this years trilogy of films about isolation. Adam's music video rendition of Tom Waits classic 'Poncho's lament' being the first part. For this short I used test footage that I shot last summer when I was planning to film GIRL ALONE. The interior shots are at a friends house (I shall not disclose the name) and the music is by Oakum, a band featuring my friend Joe Harper. Those of you who have seen BLOODSHOT will recognise the noise as we used it in that film. The words on the screen are from a poem I wrote in 1999 called silent. As such this under copyright 1999 Richard Loffman/Station Phobos.
