Vox Amps. I love them.

Ever since I started playing with MJ Ultra in 2006 I have started using Vox amps. At home I practice and record using a Vox Pathfinder 10, and when we rehearse I use a Vox AC30 Custom Classic. I have had a thing for Vox amps for a while now and it is no coincidence that both The Edge and Johnny Greenwood of Radiohead both happen to be big heroes, as well as AC30 users.
There is something about the sound, especially the top edge that is so crisp. That classic jangly sound of the Beatles, early Stones and The Yardbirds, all of them AC30 generated.

Virus Trailer gets 2,178 hits on YouTube

Last summer I planned to make a short zombie film called Virus. I am still planning to make it. And, judging by the amount of hits I am getting on YouTube for it, then I think it might be something that I will have to do sooner rather than later.

So, expect me to announce something in the very near future.

Dailymotion Videowall

Below is something that I think is pretty cool. I have uploaded almost all my short films and music videos to Dailymotion. Dailymotion has this cool feature that allows me to create this very cool video wall.

This means that I will no longer be using my YouTube account. I will keep it open though, for a while at least.

"Sunday Music Sunday"

Spring is here and there's a bounce in my step. Tonight MJ Ultra rehearsed for the first time in a month. We were forced to go to the Kannai studio tonight, as Deuce wasn't available, but we enjoyed a nice few hours of rehearsal. Good stuff!

On a personal note a few things happened this week. First off, I have arranged a meeting with my cool Japanese electronica superstar friend Coppe later this month to discuss doing a music video. I'm looking forward to working on that with my good friend Jared Campion.
This follows on to the news that Molice have approved the video (hurray!) that I have made for them (took me while), and that draws a line _________________ under that messy episode . And I quote myself in a previous post...

"I will no longer try to make music videos for Bands or Artists other than my own band (MJ Ultra) or close friends of. Let's just say that I have got my fingers well and truly burnt and I won't be doing that again."

I have uploaded the video to Tribal Pictures Japan for all to see (Thanks to Tom Melesky for his help with the shooting). In addition to all this I have also added the names of the tracks and Artists names for the videos Dystopia, Tengu, bloodshot reanimated and Soviet Toys. By Oakum, Jakey Slater and Alcove respectively.

To see these videos check the the TPJ music page. Below is a shot from the Molice video for Ms.Panic.
