16:9 Tests

Had a day off today, so took my camera outside my apartment and shot a few test shots in 16:9 and then did a bit of editing. I'm hoping to shoot a few music videos over the next few months and so I'd like to shoot them in 16:9 if I can.
Some test shots are below. I like the fact that it looks more like film and less like video. Those of you who are familiar with my work will notice that it's edited using the VS Effect.

Closer to my goals

It's been a strange old summer so far.

I haven't achieved any of the things that I'd planned to do. But, somehow I feel more positive than ever about the future. This is mainly down to the fact that I have shifted my focus and my priorities have changed. I'm no longer focusing on trying to get short films made, that doesn't mean to say that I won't make any more in the future, but it just means that I will be exploring other ways of getting my work out from now on.

I will start focusing more on music videos from now on. This is for 2 reasons...1. I can actually get paid for doing it (that's not cynical, just a simple fact of life) and 2. I can work more closely with musicians in Japan, something that really stimulates me.

That said, I haven't ruled out the possibility of making Virus and I'm still thinking about how and when I can do that.
