I love Rock'n'Roll

I'm still here, been really busy with one thing and another. Lot's of little details and little things just bubbling away. Anyway, I still love Rock'n'Roll ... and I spend far too much time on YouTube. But, I have to say that Joan Jett is cool. Always loved this track for it's sheer simplicity and now I've seen the video I'm in love with her. She's so cool.

Scintillate

In my previous post I mentioned that MJ Ultra had produced/mixed a track for Coppe on her new album fi-Lamente. Her 11th studio album.

The track is called Scintillate (track 14) and is 3.07 mins long . You can buy the track from i-tunes or do it the old fashioned way and get out to a record store and buy the CD.

Anyway, suffice to say that we are proud to be associated with Coppe and very pleased to contribute to her continued success.

Busy & exciting times

I've been quite busy the last couple of weeks with one thing and another...so here's a quick summary.

MJ Ultra
As I said before Jakey is off on tour with Cornelius so we haven't had much chance to rehearse together or start writing any new songs. Mikko and I have been into the studio a couple of times though, just to keep ourselves fresh...

Coppe
Coppe is a Japanese singer/techno artist based in Tokyo. This week she releases her new album and it will feature a track produced/mixed by MJ Ultra. We get a mention on the sleevenotes, so that's a nice bit of exposure for us. More about that after the 7th of July ...

Virus
I have almost finished the script for my 'intimate' bug and zombie movie Virus and all I need now is an actress. So, if you are an actress, or if you would like to try acting, or you know someone who might be interested, then let me know.

(project) Kiss
I had a meeting with Tommy and Michi last Friday to discuss my ideas for the project and I've also had some correspondence with Yumi Okuda, everyone is really keen to contribute work but there is one major problem...everyone is leaving Japan this summer. God dam it! So now I'm thinking about whether to continue with it this summer or to wait and try again in the autumn, because I would really like the contributing artists to be in the country when the project is launched. It's a tough decision to make, and I'm still mulling it over.

MySpace
As I mentioned in the last mail I have signed up for a MySpace account and I've been busily gathering friends and contacts. So far it's been very fruitful and there are a few possibilities for music video work coming up. I'm not going to starting counting my chickens yet, but things are looking good...I am hoping to make music videos with Catherine O'leary's Boys, E-lyrical and Control-K in the near future. ;)
